Faith Hill - A Night Of Hits Under The Stars

Photos by Ralph Palumbo

It seemed like this show was off to a not so great start - it wasn’t sold out, we’re talking lot’s of seats available, opening act Jennette McCurdy did not appear- with no explanation to the crowd and Faith seemed to be having trouble hearing herself with constant signaling to sound staff. Faith also had limited interaction with her audience…and the show was also shorter than expected.

Despite the issues mentioned, Faith still showcased her signature hits with style and her strong vocal ability. Her stage was super stripped down, one might think the country star would roll with a ton of production, but this wasn’t the case. Even when it came to wardrobe, a white long sleeve & jean shorts- no outfit changes. I for one appreciate the anti-diva attitude. Hill seems to just care about the music and bonding with her talented band.

Faith did an amazing rendition of Janis Joplin’s Piece of My Heart, as well as her smash hits which brought a sitting audience to their feet. We all have off nights, and never know what’s going on behind the scenes- Faith came through with pure affability.
